As a British Wrestling coach, you receive liability insurance as part of your membership. This includes both Public Liability & Professional Indemnity cover which is detailed as below:
Public Liability – Accidental bodily injury to third parties and/or damage to third party property arising out of the insured activities.
Professional Indemnity – cover for negligent acts, errors or omissions in respect of a professional opinion, including injury following tuition, advice, coaching or instruction, against claims made during the period of insurance.
The liability insurance will cover the cost of defending a claim made against you following negligent advice whilst coaching provided that the activity falls within your British Wrestling licensing remit. This cover protects you worldwide (excluding USA AND Canada). The limit in regards to Public Liability claims is £5 million in any one occurrence and in respect of Professional Indemnity, claims are limited to £5 million in the aggregate. The liability cover you receive is provided by Sportscover Europe Ltd.
